Can you sing?  Do you love to sing?  Whether you sing in a band or just like to sing in the shower, come try out at the La Kermesse Idol Competition!!

This popular show enters its 6th year and all the plans for the festival itself  are finalized for this year's events.  Auditions for the Idol Show will take place at St. Louis Field, the festival grounds, on Tuesday, June 24 for Pre-Teens and Teens and on Wednesday, June 25 for Adults (18 & up).  Registration will begin at 5:30pm with competition beginning promptly at 6pm both nights.  Contestants who wish to try out are encouraged to fill out the form below and register prior to June 24th. THERE WILL BE NO WALK-ON COMPETITORS ALLOWED SO BE SURE TO SIGN UP IF YOU WANT TO TRY OUT.
***Absolutely no exceptions for Acapella, singing along with music, or use of instruments. **
The La Kermesse Idol Competitions will be held on Friday, June 27-Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29.  Joey LeBlond will again host the Idol Show which this year will award prizes as follows:
$500.00 1st Place Official La Kermesse Idol (18 & up)
$350.00 1st Place Teen Idol (13-17)
$350.00 1st Place Junior Idol (12 & under)
$200.00 2nd Place All  Divisions
$100.00 3rd Place All Divisions


Three finalist from each division will be selected by a panel of impartial judges during the earlier rounds of competition to compete for the cash prizes in the Sunday June 29 evening finals which will be held in the Main Tent from 6:15 to 7:45pm.   The 5th Annual La Kermesse Show is co-sponsored by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, 180 Main St. Saco and People's Choice Credit Union.

To apply, fill out the form provided.  Applications must be received by midnight June 20.  Contestants will be contacted as to when their auditions will take place.

Rules:
*Contestants must have 4 different song choices to be used within the Audition and the Competition.  No repeats will be allowed.

*All contestants are required to supply their own Karaoke CD without vocals that will be used when they sing. Contestants are not allowed to sing a cappella style in the audition or in the competition.
*All singers who are involved are expected to be at the field no later than a half hour before the competion is to begin.

*The judges' decision will be final during auditions and show competition.  Finalists will be selected on a point system determined by the La Kermesse Committee.

*The field will be open to the public during the auditions.  Contestants are encouraged to bring family and friends to cheer them on.

***NO WALK-ONS WILL BE ALLOWED.
