La Kermesse Franco-Americaine

On September 1, 2006, one of La Kermesse's members, was struck and killed   while riding his motorcycle.  Normand J. Audie, who was 21 at the time of his death, had been involved in La Kermesse for many years.  His mom, Karen is a past member, his uncle Steve Audie also a past president and his grandparents Roland & Priscille Gagnon, present members always enjoyed having Normand around helping during the festival set up, during the festival weekend and even at teardown.  Ironically on the day he died, Normand had spent several hours helping other members of La Kermesse set up its stage in the park on Water St. for a Drug Awareness Program.
Shortly after Normand's death, Graig Morin and his family and friends at All Day Breakfast along with Normand's dad Bruce organized a Bike Run to raise money for the Normand J Audie Scholarship.  The Bike Run was a great success and plans for this year's Bike Run were started immediately.   The date for this year's Bike Run  August 18 (Rain date August 19).
All monies raised will go to the Normand J. Audie Scholarship c/o Saco & Biddeford Institution.
